Michigan's 'D' was quite humorous this weekend. Where our game was not as close as the final score indicated. scUM's was not as lopsided as their's indicated. Definitely an average season for LLLoyd.

Good list. That game last night was atrocious. It was Pop Warner football on a national scale.

FSU may have won, but they are hardly a good football team right now. Too bad the Gators aren't playing the Canes this year. They could get some payback.

I see FSU losing by 30 in th Swamp if they don't improve in a hurry.

I don't see it. After this weekend, I would be VERY surprised if Michigan doesn't lose 4 games.

I wouldn't go that far. The Gators played Wyoming at home, after all, and Meyer's Utah team beat them more handily last year than this Gator team did. Leak was impressive, but the running game was non-existant -- 91 yards rushing on 36 attempts?

As for HL's Top-10 I pretty much agree, but I would have to adjust to allow for BSU QB Zabranskie's 6 turnover-1st half versus Georgia, Tennessee holding on for life at home against UAB, and UK's QB fumbling at the Louisville 1-yard line going in for the game tying score.

For all the off season hype, Hester probably deserves to top the list, or maybe Mark May's prognosticatons: "Let me tell you why Pitt, with Palko and Lee, will beat Notre Dame by two touchdowns" ... "I'm going to tell you why Miami will dominate this game" ... "Miami has the best linebackers in the country."

All of these moments were given consideration, but I decided to make the list more of a slap at ou, aggy, mich, and baylor

Okie State barely beating Montana State is f'n hilarious. It gives so much more substance to all the Buckeyes postings on this site about how overrated the Big XII is, and this year it sure looks that way.

this list came too early.. cuz half the spots would have come from last nights Miami-FSU game... If anyone has the slightest doubt how important kicking games are.. they needed last night to be completely converted forever

Don't know if anyone saw the results of the Marshall/Wm Mary game, but I looked over the box score and can see that Snyder is definately teaching JT's philosophy at Marshall. Snyder said that one thing he took to Marshall was the kick scrimmage, and the players all loved it and had a blast. This past weekend Marshall's FG kicker missed a 52 yard field goal and a PAT, but otherwise several of the kickoffs went for touchbacks and every short yardage punt was downed inside the 20. Snyder's debut was a little rough, but Marshall got the W playing the same field position game Tressel is known for. Marshall's go-ahead, game winning points were off a defensive score.

My favorite moment from the game last night:
-FSU blocks Miami punt and recovers on the one or two
-three straight running plays net a 2-3 yard loss
-FSU kicks field goal but there is a penalty
-Gary Danielson, commenting on the poor play calling and execution by FSU says something like, "The only way this gets any better is if they miss the FG."
-They do:biggrin:

I thought at that moment FSU was going to be done for and lose by a FG.
