Top 10 In The Crosshairs On Saturday

44820-- I'm not sure I agree with your assessment.

Both QBs moved the team. Troy still brought much more to the table than did Zwick.

I think we should all just relax and accept the inevitable -- Troy is the Starter, Zwick is the back-up, and the Buckeyes, as a team, are relatively lucky to have two such rich options on which to call.

My last post was meant to say that the perception will be their still is a QB controversy.

I don't think you have to tell me who the starter is, if he was going to play Zwick at all the rest of the season it would have been today, the way Smith performed. Just my opinion. :wink2:

yep, Zwick made sure of that...9-10...47 yards.

i was thinking more along the lines of a below average performance by smith as the primary factor rather than anything zwick did. i would find it rather laughable that anyone would think smith's performance against san diego state was proof positive he deserves the position.

i was really hoping smith would come out and win the position. i even fully expected him to look rusty. but even with that in mind he never seemed to progress throughout the game. smith seemed far to eager to pull the ball down and run. granted he was getting some pressure, but he didn't seem willing at all to even consider looking downfield once he felt a little bit of heat. he also missed a lot of receivers who were in fact open. on his int to hamby, he managed to find the only receiver on the field who was well covered. also, it seems that when smith is in the game we use a playbook that is wildly different than when zwick is in the game. that playbook doesn't seem to involve anyone but smith half the time.

im basing my qb controversy off compairing the miami (oh) game and the san diego st game. go back and look at the posts in reference to our offense directly after the miami (oh) and then compair them to the ones we see as of today.
