why in the hell are Brady and the starters even playing in the second half?

not to mention they are still throwing the ball :shake:

Cassell was put in and then intercepted for a pick-6 to make it 42-21. 21 point lead in teh NFL isn't safe. Brady was put back in and they scored.

.....and Brett Favre is kicking himself in the ass for forcing his comeback beofre the season. The Pats and Brett would have made that happen today if Brett wasn't with the Jets.

On the other hand, this opens the division for the Jets.

But you have to think, Brett would rather be a Pat today.

You can't retire and then sign with any team within the same year. At least, I'm pretty sure you can't.

Understood....but Bret could have waited this whole thing out, and the Pack would have gladly traded him to the Pats for a 1st rounder.

Many insiders thought Bret would just show up to camp and do that...wait it out until an injury occurred and a team stepped up with enough compensation.

The Pats would be willing to give up next years 1st rounder for Bret Favre this year.

BillMac you are onto something with the Favre track, but let's not get distracted from another interesting possibility. Brady was a 6th-round pick who got a chance when Bledsoe went down. He sat a lot in college, and he was bound to sit a lot in the pros. He was nothing special at all in an NFL CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON of 2001-2002. He just avoided mistakes. I want to see if Cassell can take advantage of the situation. They are probably a playoff team without Brady, as it would seem. Beating the Chiefs without Brady is all right, if not spectacular. It is a more impressive win than they will get next week against the Jets. A 2-0 start, anyway.

EDIT: BTW, love the Yahoo graphic with Braylon hyping fantasy football. He got exactly zero points today in my league. Go Braylon! Go Blue!

And you thought that the coverage of Brett Favre was bad? I can't even imagine how awful it's going to be like with the Tom Brady injury coverage, along with the coverage of Brett Favre and his daily activity. :roll2:

Yup. Camera will be outside any possible place he might be at.
