CIS 625 with Tamal Dey. good timesThe most cryptic class I ever took at OSU was one about computer language theory. It took four weeks before I could even understand a lecture, and I was a Computer Science major at the time.

Other classes and majors have a smaller set of information that you have to memorize, but you have to do a lot of thinking on the test to eke out the answers.
Case in point:

Seems like a bitch to me.
Most painful class I've ever had to sit through was Econ 444, Econometrics
There were 60 people enrolled in the course, 15 people would show up on any given day, and half of those would be gone halfway in (2 hour lecture). It was physically painful to sit through because he might as well have just been mumbling nonsense the entire time (which he might have been) and keep in mind I don't find regular economics classes boring (being that it's my major) whereas 98% of others do.
The only reason people got through it..80 point test, you get the first 20 points for showing up and you have to do whatever 3 out of 4 or 5 problems are on it. Open book test and you had the full 2 hours 18 minutes to complete. Throw on whatever additional curve is needed after that lol

Are you talking about Robert DeJong? He is one of the better econometrics teachers out there. My Lord, it's as if the economists who are the worst at teaching are always the ones who teach that class!
