As an usher, we've been told the last two years that the use of student & faculty tickets would be strictly enforced with proper IDs only, but I've read each year where some still have been able to enter using one of those tix without being asked to show ID. (I wouldn't want to risk it myself)

If you want to upgrade it to a General Public ticket I believe you have to do it today (i don't think the ticket office will upgrade on game day, not positive, but I think that's the rule)

I'm pretty sure "signs" are on the prohibited items list, but you'd be surprised what people get into the sadium with. And we were kind of told that if someone gets by security & the Red Coates with something, then it's not our problem, i.e. assume that they're allowed to have it (I've seen back packs, t-shirts with profanity, etc. > things that weren't supposed to have made it past the yellow shirts).

Now the problem I'd see with a sign (even if he does get through the gate with it) is if someone is holding up something large enough to get noticed on t.v., etc., then people around and behind him will probably complain and that's when an usher or police officer might take it.

This is all based on my assumption that signs aren't allowed. I'll check my rule pamphlet at lunch and let ya know for sure if one of the other ushers or Red Coates doesn't chime in before I find out.

I'm pretty sure signs aren't allowed, which is what I told him. He threw a mini Iowan fit. I think his plan is to hang it below him, since he is in the front row of AA. I'll forget the information about sneaking it past the front gates though because I don't want some dumbass iowa sign in my shoe

thanks for the info.

OR, you could tell him it's worth a shot (trying to sneak it in) and then inform a big, gorrilla-like "yellow shirt" security cop with an attitude of the contra-ban, and watch the fun... .

Just kidding (mostly). I'm an embassador of the Ohio State University, and should be equally welcoming to all of our guests. Wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong idea about me. :wink2:

Go Bucks :osu:

EDIT:

Yes, all signs and banners are prohibited items (as well as concealed weapons...dangit)

And not to jinx the weather or anything, but for anyone's info...people are allowed to carry umbrellas into the stadium (for use walking to and from the game if raining), they're just not allowed to open them once inside the stadium. Hope that's not an issue.
