i personally enjoy using foul language. i don't see anything wrong with it and i highly doubt 99% of the country that doesn't draw social security or deal with televangelists has a problem with it. as for that one percent, i hate those fuckers.
i also can't ever imagine a scenario where a recruit says something like the bad language on some random message board really turned me off on that school. i don't even know if i would want a kid on my team with that type of decision making skills. still though i can/will respect the rule as regard to the recruiting forum.
i also agree that we should never bad mouth the school, football team, coaches, players, or recruits on that one particular board but i certainly hope we can still call em like we see em there and elsewhere.
for example, i don't see the fascination with chris wells as a tailback. i think he looks a little stiff as a running back and would be much better suited chasing the ball instead of carrying the ball. i have other thoughts on wells too that i choose to keep to myself by the way (hint: i have jerry westbrooks flashbacks). i would hate to have some fan take me to task for fairly criticising some guy's game. the way i see that, that is just expressing one's opinion on a player. it is my opinion and definitely not fact. i am wrong often and i hope i am wrong there. i hope wells goes to ohio state and wins a heisman carrying the ball. if a player can't take some criticism on his game he will never see his shortcomings and never overcome them. the great players realize where they need work and do something about it. the mediocre players read their press clippings and message board posts and rest on their laurels.
personally i like to hear the negatives on recruits. i hate always reading how good of a kid so and so is. who cares. let me know if the kid is a rotten bastard like murderer ray williams. that i need to know. i could care less if so and so leaves an apple on his teachers desk and sings in choir at church.
