It's pretty good, and I think the actual game will be even better. The only thing that I already hate is the commentary. IT IS TERRIBLE!!

And I hope the rubberband AI in PGA Career mode is gone, otherwise that is going to be a damper

Well I will no longer be purchasing 09 since I just picked up 08. Them getting rid of a few courses including Firestone CC really ticked me off. That and the announcers are terrible. I picked up TW08 and Forza 2 for under 45 bucks. I think I'd rather go that route than spending 60 for one game that doesn't bring much new into the picture

I played the demo and I will not purchase this game. The commentary is unbearable. I had to mute it after 2 holes - if it's this old already there's no way I'm going to deal with that on career mode.

The graphics are slightly better (especially water features), but the gameplay is very similar... I do like how it shows the path of the swing (left stick path).

How in the hell did they let this game go out with these boring asshats doing the commentary?

I am doing the same as you...I am not buying the game. It's terrible. Instead I went out and bought 08 and another game for 15-20 bucks less than if I got TW09. Why the hell would you get rid of Feherrety (sp?)

I traded in a few games last night that I don't play and picked it up. The commentators are terrible!!!! But other than that the game play is pretty good almost teh same as '08. They did add a three click swing meter also so if you suck with the analog stick you can use that.

they have some really cool new features like the club tuning, where you can set you clubs up for how you swing(Draw, Slice,more or less forgiving)

The attribute system is pretty cool as you can lose attributes if you do poorly.

They've added the EA gamernet feature to the game also but I yet to fully use it, so I won't give an opinion on it.


So far it's been a pretty good game.

Save money? Bad decision indeed.
