I guess they don't like you cause I got in right away, looks like everything is sold out now except single seat Marshall, kinda surprised Eastern Michigan sold out before Marshall

I figured they didnt return as many tickets. Seems Easten Michingan went real fast

OSU Alumni Association just posted this.

Tickets available for Ohio State's first four games - OSUAA Blog

So if you are an alumni you might be getting a email tonight on how to buy thickets for one of the first 4 games. They are tickets that were returned from the otehr schools

Is this standard practice or a one time deal? I'm graduating this year and I hope they continue this (selling returned tickets to alumni) in the future. After getting screwed out of USC and Miami student tickets because of ticketmaster and super bogged down servers, I hope I have better luck as an alum. It seems like a decent number of people got tickets to the Miami game.

I thinks it's regular I graduated this year but got alumni tickets through my aunt and her friend for the Marshall and Ohio game. Sadly will becoming back from vacation on the day of the Miami game so that's a radio game.

Oh and amusingly enough Miami is denying giving back any tickets despite them obviously being for sale on the site.

yea, just was about to post that, some interesting stories coming from Miami about this whole ticket stuff...and this is the first time they have done this with alumni people on selling tickets to us, usually its the one game lottery and thats it

Well hopefully they keep it up then cause it'd be nice to be able to get tickets for a game first come first serve style like when I was student rather then hoping for something in the lottery.

It will be interesting to see what happens. You can tell by the influx of tickets on rbay/craigslist that allot of people bought tickets today then turned around and threw them up on one of those sites to sell. Part of me figures the university doesn't care they just want to sell them, but part of me wonders if people higher up are pissed they did this for the alumni just to see many of the tickets be turned around and sold

I doubt they're pissed. Whether you offer the extras to alumni or the public doesn't change the amount that will end up being resold. At least this way they pacify some of the alumni who were screwed when the lottery rules changed.

I'm not convinced all of those tix were returned by Miami. I got into the system right at 10am and was able to see what sectons were being sold. It started out in 16-24C, then to 9-11A, then back to B deck on the west side, then to the south stands. Unless visitor seating allocation has changed, I don't think all of those areas would be Miami fans. Maybe it's different for the early games though.
