tOSU had Pace, Parker, and Tatum as starters, plus Spielman and Griffin.
TSUN had Bennie Oosterbaan, Anthony Carter, Desmond Howard (all as receivers), plus Dan Dierdorf (OT) and Charles Woodson (CB).
Nebraska had Dave Rimington, Dean Steinkuhler, Johnny Rodgers, Rich Glover, and Aaron Taylor.

ND had Tim Brown, Rocket Ismail, Bill Fisher, George Connor, John Lujack, John Lattner, Ross Browner, Leon Hart, and George Gipp (who was suspended from this team for being in the pool room too often).
