Brutus1: "At this point, they couldn't hit OSU pitching."

The hitting hasn't been the problem. The pitching has. The Starters have been awful before these last four starts, and the Bullpen hasn't been much better.

The Great Mo looks to be back to old form, and if they get pitching like this all year, it won't be long before the Empire is back.

Sloop,
I was talking about the A's hitting. They made KB and Moose look like Pedro. I can't imagine hitting ever being a problem with this current Yankee squad. They're going to live and die with their staff.

The spanks are only beating the AL West on this "win-streak", which, with the exception of the LAAofA (what a joke that name is) is a pretty bad division. The A's don't hit, and the Mariners swing at everything, so of course those $50mill+ pitchers will get a win. But let's see them try to play baltimore again, hahaha!

Its official: on May 11th, 2005, the Baltimore Orioles have been anointed "the team to beat in the AL." I also like the 'hahaha!' at the end of your post ..

I think a wise man once said, "A fool hitches his ride to a baseball team based on their fortunes through May 11th. hahaha!"

That wise man was me ..

I think a big problem with the Yankees this year is that they have nothing to trade if they need to acquire some help at the deadline. I think as the weather heats up, the Unit will heat up. Now if Pavano and Mussina get going, they should be ok for the long run.

Read my last post in the 'Steinbrenner rips Yankees' thread. That pretty much nails what the problems for the 26 Time World Champions are.
