Three Cheers for the state of Texas

Yes, I know we play the team from Austin soon, and I want to beat them as badly as anyone. But that is an entirely separate and pretty much trivial issue.

I was watching the news extensively tonight, and listening to NPR this afternoon at work, and I just marvel at all of the help that Texas has provided to the victims of the hurricane, especially from the New Orleans area. A doctor was on the radio in Houston this afternoon saying they desperately needed volunteers to provide health care, and within an hour they all started pouring in. Everyone interviewed at the Astrodome says that they have been receiving great care, better than they expected, and that the city has welcomed the people there. They have given so much in food, water, shelter, cots, blankets, medical care, medications, and shelter.

I know we have had and will have many board visitors from Texas as we approach this game and I just wanted to say...Bravo.

What if Meatchicken got wiped out by a tornado

Let's suppose that the mutha of all tornados wipes out all of Meatchicken and causes the Great Lake to flow into AA creating a giant pond that used to hold 107,007 fools. All of you Buckeye faithful would rush supplies, aid and open your homes and hearts for those from TSUN, wouldn't you?

I live here and I wouldn't help a single one of those damn sons of bitches, especially during the season.:wink2:

Seriously, you guys have done a great job reaching out to your neighbors. It is an example for all of us.
