My condolences FKA. Remember the good times and know their pain and suffering is over. Don't feel guilty if you have a sense of relief when it finally happens, its common and is not a poor reflection on you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It has been almost a year since I lost my father. It is one of the most difficult times in any ones life. Hopefully you had a chance to say your goodbyes before the coma.
A man can only hope for one thing in this life and that is to be surrounded by his family when passes on. Luckily for my family we were all with my father when he passed. I hope the same for you and your family. I know it was a great comfort for him to have all of us there. As painful and difficult as that one moment was, I look back now and thank God for the opportunity to be with him at that point.

FKA's mother passed away this morning. Her passing was peaceful and FKA was present. For him to be there, and for it to happen peacefully was about all FKA could ask for.

My deepest condolences to you and your family.
I lost my mother to cancer just over nine years ago. While I can't feel what you must be going through, I can remember the ups, the downs, and the hardship of the the victims.
There is so much I want to say and nothing that would matter right now. All any of us can say is that your buckeye family truly feels for you and your family.
We are all thinking of you.
