well, may I offer you a new ceremonial title: director of hindsight decisions
Uh, hindsight? OJ's trail was about 10 years ago...this pix is from before the Orange Bowl. Yeah, I'm sure Pete Carroll was thinking, "How was I supposed to know that letting a murderer on the field would bring such controversy?"
Besides your story is crap. Gee, what a surprise, yet another ignorant USC fan on an OSU board...
The coach of the University of Southern California football says O.J. Simpson wasn't invited to attend a team practice for the Orange Bowl.
But Pete Carroll says the team knew he was coming by.
Carroll says team practices are always open to former players and alumni -- and Simpson lives in Miami, where Saturday's practice was held.
He was warmly received by USC players and was seen hugging many of the coaches and players, including this year's Heisman winner, quarterback Carson Palmer.
Simpson won the Heisman when he played at USC.
But that trophy was sold to pay a small portion of the judgment against him when he was found liable for the murders of his ex-wife and her friend.
Simpson was acquitted of murder charges in 1995 -- when most of the current USC players weren't yet teens.
