It's temporarily down until we can raise enough money for that new server. I see you've done your part, hopefully now the other 3769 out of 3827 members can spare $5 to help BP survive all of its new users.

This probably belongs with the fundraiser thread, but I'm curious about how many members actually log on? When you look at the list of members, many (maybe even most) have never posted anything, or its been months since they've logged on (maybe they post more during the season?) My point is that you aren't going to get $5 from all members, since many aren't "regulars."

This thread really isn't crucial, so I think this discussion is okay for now and its relevant to the topic. I realize there are probably tons of posters that really aren't regulars anymore, but there are more than enough people out there that check this site regularly that could help make that server a reality by the end of the week.

A problem could be that the forums are locked (you can't view them) unless you are logged on. So, I bet there are quite a few people that register to see a thread once and never come back.

Maybe when things slow down an admin can blow away any accounts that haven't had any activity in six months.

On a side note, this sheds light on why JJHuddle charges that one time fee.

Nope. That was changed after NLOID. Lurkers can now view any threads...only posting requires logging in.

unfortunately i just ran some numbers:

63% of the members here have ten posts or less. (2400 exactly)
of this 63%, 44% have never posted at all. (1685, leaving 715 with 1-10 posts)

thats a kick to the dick :(

i just dont think anybody in that 63% will donate. They are basically anonymous (the medals dont do much for them), so they can lurk and gleam info and videos to their hearts content without even a $5 donation.

I know this site gets tons of hits.....but the donations will most likely come from the posters.

Thanks for the compliments guys, much appreciated.

I'm also working on a 2003 Fiesta Bowl Highlight reel that will be released after BP has raised the money necessary for the server. In other words DONATE NOW! (btw I host the videos on my own server, but I make them primarily for the BP community!)

I'll also be making highlight reels of all the major games this year - more to come!

As soon as BP gets the necessary funds for the server and Mili re-opens the video forum, I'll have the videos out for everyone to see.

Over a thousand distinct posters have visited in the last 6 days (members list sorted by last visited and then go to page 50... there are 20 members per page I believe)

there also are a number of regular posters who have been here for quite some time and never bothered to give $5 once. :sad:
