I always hear about how prisoners sort of "take care of things" on the inside and that even they are not fans of certain crimes.

My question is, how do the prisoners find out what a new person is in for? Could the inmate not just lie about it? Do other inmates just ask the prison officers?

I am going to guess, give them the benefit of the doubt, and say they were probably junkies, heroin addicts most likely, as that stuff can cause you to lose so much time a baby could die from starvation before anyone noticed.

Yep. And 23 north from Portsmouth passes right through it. Lots of drugs coming up to Columbus from Portsmouth.
