Another wowzer! 14 - 6 Rutgers.

Uh,

Army screwed up the punt recovery, allowing Rutgers to recover at the 6.

Rutgers JUST punched it in. Now it's 21-6.

And to think, today is the 61st Anniversary of the fabled Army-Notre Dame "Game of the Century."

Believe it or not, back in those days, both those teams were GOOD.

Check out this statistic I saw:

FOUR Rushing yards for Army at this point in the game? FOUR?

Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis must be rolling over in their graves.

THIS is the program that was king in the mid-1940s?

BTW, Army just held Rutgers to a FIELD GOAL! WOW! Party tonight at West Point!
During WWII.

Army gained a first down... but they lost the ball and turned it over!

Hahahahahaha!

IMO, nothing is funnier than watching Army try and play football: they keep finding new ways to suck!

Not cool...not cool at all :shake:

That's a pretty classless thing to say considering some of these guys may end up giving their lives for this country and you can't think of something more substantial to add than that? :roll1:

I don't mean to offend them, but they are making a lot of mistakes!

A blocked punt, muffing a punt return, turning the ball over, etc.

I never, ever have seen a team do these things at once!

I respect the Army team, but I surprised at how many mistakes they make.

I apologize if what I said was offensive.

It's just stunning to see a team make so many mistakes.

I wish they could just play smart and not turn the ball over like crazy.

BTW,

ESPN just mentioned Glenn Davis AKA Mr. Outside as #13 on their list of the 25 best college players ever.

Hard to believe Army was a national championship contender back then.

Words fail me. Though apparently not in the manner that you fail at grammar.

In the early to mid forties (when Army was winning National Championships), many of the top amateur athletes were pressed into military service, as opposed to going on to a university, which in turn made the service academies much stronger.
