Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult!
What's up with the Tribe spanking people lately. They absolutely demolished Cinci on saturday, then beat up on Bosto in their last two games, Lastnight winning in the top of the ninth with a grand-slam.

I though that they had a little bit of talent on their team this year but they're actually looking like a contender.

if Victor and Hafner play like they are capable of then the indians have a solid line up. Really don't have a dominating starter but don't have a huge hole either. Too bad they are chasing the white sox. Where do they stand in the rankings now, is the wild card out of the question?

Did they get swept by Boston a few days ago? I wouldn't say they're "spanking" people.

Yeah they did, and then they turned right around and took two of three from those same Red Sox, at Fenway no less. By the way, when Boston swept the Tribe, the Tribe was on a 9-game win streak and had won 12 of 13, so they were due to lose a few. Since that little 4-game spill (3 to Boston and 1 to Cincy) they've gone 4-1, so they rebounded well and yeah, they've been pretty much spanking folks for the last 3 weeks or so.

I wouldn't say they're "spanking" people either, but when they're hot, they're capable of beating anyone. Crisp, Sizemore, Hafner and Martinez either are now or soon will be All-Star caliber players. They've got one of the better bullpens in the AL (somehow), and a decent starting rotation. There are parts of this team I can't stand, like Aaron Boone and David Riske, but neither of those asshats are going to keep them from making noise in the wild card race. Frankly, I'm all for it. Indians fans are so hard up for fall ball, a Series run could probably get me laid.

You know. By a guy.

Thought I'd beat the punchers to the punch there. :chompy:

the pieces finally started coming together for cleveland.
what they need is a power bat from the right side and possibly another starter after this season.

milwood only signed a one year deal so he may be gone after the season. it wont be surprising to see cleveland try and make a trade for someone like a morgan ensberg or possibly vernon wells should toronto totally tank. cleveland will be willing to part with someone like riske or even howry along with a prospect or two to get that.

It makes it easy to toss out a bullpen guy as bait since relief pitching is in demand this year and Cabrera is touting a 0.97 era in Buffalo as of last week.
