Well, I need a new thread to dump on FSU now that the cheating scandal and the Bobbah debacle are no longer relevant.

The locals here are buying into The Return.

They had 51K at the Garnet & Gold game (FSU Spring Game).

I give them a much better chance at relevance than TSUN under Rodriguez (faint praise, I know). But there is NO WAY they ever get back to where they once were. Absolutely no way.

Return to Relevance? - probably IMO (Fisher appears to be a great recruiter)
Return to Prominence? - very possible IMO (He might even be able to coach)
Return to Dominance? - Not a chance (Different league, different era)

It should really be alumnae, feminine plural of alumna :p.

I think the intent was that there are many FSU alumnae in that line of work being supported by the Gators. Hence, the one in the picture is representing all of them. Since the one is used to represent all of them, it should be alumnae.

Unless of course the alumna in the picture is the only one and the creator of this "dig" meant it as such....then it really isn't that funny trying to rip on a single alumna in the history of the university.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but how is it implied that Miami would be dropped from the schedule besides the fact they're in the same conference? By moving the Florida game up you now have an opeing at the end of your schedule so wouldn't you just be flip flopping the two games and play Florida at the beginning and Miami at the end? Or move Miami to the middle and move someone else to the end? Like I said maybe I'm missing something but I don't see how this means Miami gets dropped, the solution to keep Miami on the schedule seems pretty basic.

Of course he wants to do this. That's a big part of how the FSU came to power in the first place. If you lose to your rival early you have time to climb back up the rankings, if you win you solidify your top 5/10 rank because the rival will be a top 5/10 team as well. Its a perfect way to exploit one of the many flaws in the pre season rankings, namely they adjust them to make big early season matchups more attractive.

The difference is now Miami is in conference so they actually have to pay a price for losing to them but if they could get UF to play them early, its as close as they'll get to a repeat of the system that cranked out all those top 5 finishes in the 90's.

Having the big rivalry game as the last one of the year doesn't seem like such a good idea if you lose it a lot. Just ask John Cooper. He'd have given his spleen to play scUM in September.

Perhaps the artist was specifically trying to convey the UF's alumni support of FSU alumni who are stripping to payoff their recent sex-change operations. It is common knowledge around here that UF grads love their shemales, cross-dressers and transsexuals. Note the spear emanating from his crotch.
