  • Wow, some marvelous golf going on today. Phil was back and better than ever with that 63. He almost drained that last putt for the record at 62. Long way to go but should be a good one.

Appears there is going to be some tough slogging for the afternoon groups today. Stenson making a very nice run in the early groups. Phil made a killer save on 17 out of the bunker and did a good job of holding serve today.

Yes, Phil may take us for a ride this weekend. To this point he has played very conservative/smart. The guy has 5 majors and the last time he won the Open he came from behind with a brilliant Sunday round. Stenson looks tremendously solid and will certainly be a factor.

Henrik and Phil really distanced themselves from the crowd today. Nobody was doing anything but going backwards today. Tomorrow should be an interesting day.

It was....Stenson shot an 8-under 63 on Sunday to finish the tournament at 20-under and claim his first major championship. He won Sunday's matchup with Mickelson by 2 strokes and the Claret Jug by 3 over the American.

If you were told that Mickelson (one back at the start of the day) would shoot a 6-under 65; you would probably be willing to "bet the ranch" on him winning.
