FPI’s first projected loss: Ohio State (Wolverines hold 37.4% win probability)
The word: If Michigan beats Michigan State in a battle of unbeatens in Week 9, the Wolverines must take out Penn State in Happy Valley to remain unblemished ahead of The Game on Nov. 27. Michigan has lost eight straight to the Buckeyes and ESPN’s FPI points to that streak extending to nine. The top-half of the Big Ten East will be decided over the next few weeks when several top 10 teams barricade each other in a room and duke it out. The first big game comes Saturday in East Lansing for the involved parties.
