The Five In-State O-Linemen

BuckTwenty

Parties with Pete Johnson's Beard
  • I remember hearing in one of the summer camp threads that five of the offensive linemen at OSU's camp were taken aside and evaluated seperately from everyone else. Out of those 5, SUPPOSEDLY 3 were going to be offered. It has been eluded to that 3 of the linemen were Browning, Palmer, and Gulley. Anyone in-the-know happen to know who the other 2 were??

Now that Boren is out of the picture and Brown and Smith seem to not depend quite so much on what each other decides, it seems Tressel would like 4-5 O-linemen in this class (and I personally love the idea of them all being from Ohio, partially because all of our starters right now are all Ohioians). Which in-state O-linemen do you all want to see in S&G? (pssst... sounds like this could make a nice poll...)

If you mean any OL period I would go with Aaron Brown. Gotta love the upside with him and he is just so physically imposing. In order though:

    1.Brown
    2.Smith
    3.Boren
    4.Thomas
    5.Palmer
    6.Browning
    7.Gulley
    8.Krum

Dominic Alford, Chris Meenan, and Bill Nagy are the names that would seem to come to mind.

I ran into one of the Hudson football coachs this evening. He said Nagy would hear by the end of the month if he had an Ohio State offer. He said Bill enjoyed his visits to syacuse and Louisville. He also said Michigan was out of the question, Bill did not like the O-line coach.

didn't Meenan already commit somewhere? i believe that the 5 names of the OL from camp that i heard were Palmer, Browning, Gulley, Nagy, and Joe Thomas. with Thomas committed to Pitt, that leaves four guys for three supposed offers. word is that Thomas would have gotten one of those offers, so i'm not sure what that means to the group. the three names i keep hearing pop up for offers are Palmer, Nagy, and Browning now that Thomas has moved on.
