Week six of the college football season is over which means we are at the halfway mark. We have folks that don’t know anything about college football especially when you hear things like a certain player from UM. Dear Walmart fans when you are averaging 1 solo tackle for each of the last two games you aren’t the best defensive player on your team. Let’s see how the midseason is shaping up, by the way, the Big Ten isn’t as good as we had hoped or thought.
1.The Ohio State University Buckeyes (5-0, 2-0)
140 Pts.
Yes, there looked like Buckeyes had issues against Indiana. None of it was coming from the defensive side of the ball which allowed the Buckeyes to remain unanimous again this week.
Last Week: Defeated Indiana 38-17
This Week: @Wisconsin
2. Michigan Wolverines (6-0, 3-0)
130 Pts.
Hooray Michigan is now .500 at Rutgers. Way to go beat up on a weak team to make one think you deserve to be Number 1 and you have a Heisman candidate. I guess when you have decades of being irrelevant it takes one year to scream from the flat roofs of the Walmarts to say y’all are good.
Last Week: Defeated Rutgers 78-0
This Week: Bye
3. Nebraska Cornhuskers (5-0, 2-0)
116 Pts.
What can you say about a team that was had a bye this past week? Just be happy you’re behind UM because if it was vice versa we would be getting pelted from the produce department.
Last Week: Bye
This Week: @Indiana
4. Wisconsin Badgers (4-1, 1-1)
111 Pts.
Badger fans you lost to Walmart so the choice here is easy I guess. Sorry but a real test is coming to Camp Randall hope you took the extra week to prepare.
Last Week: Bye
This Week: Ohio State
5. Indiana Hoosiers (3-2, 1-1)
84 Pts.
Hey Hoosier fans, you do have a defense. It’snot Walmart great but it is much improved and watching Buckeyes struggle with it at times should have given you all a good feeling. Make sure when you play Walmart to bring that defense again because I am calling for the upset.
Last Week: Defeated by Ohio State 17-38
Next Week: Nebraska
6. Penn State Nittany Lions (4-2, 2-1)
82 Pts.
Guess James Franklin’s seat cooled off some. Finally beating a team they should have.
Last Week: Defeated Maryland 38-17
This Week: Bye
7. Maryland Terrapins (4-1, 1-1)
80 Pts.
Terps just need two more wins to become bowl eligible. I think they have a great shot at winning at least three. Get ready Maryland because you should be bowling this season.
Last Week: Defeated by Penn State 17-38
This Week: Minnesota
8. Iowa Hawkeye (4-2, 2-1)
77 Pts.
Not sure what to say about this team. After six games still, have no clue who they are.
Last Week: Defeated Minnesota 14-7
This Week: @Purdue
9. Minnesota Golden Gophers (3-2, 0-2)
60 Pts.
Apparently, we were giving you all to much credit. I am sorry, no more dilly bars for you. Time to get your act together.
Last Week: Defeated by Iowa 7-17
This Week: @Maryland
10.Northwestern Wildcats (2-3, 1-1)
51 Pts.
A bye week helped stabilized the Wildcats at the cusp of the truly bad Big Ten teams.
Last Week: Bye
This Week: @Michigan State
11. Michigan State Spartans (2-3, 0-2)
49 Pts.
Dear Sparty, Your run of being a Top Ten team in the nation is over. I will let that sync in for now. Next week we can discuss the possibility of zero bowl games.
Last Week: Defeated by BYU 14-31
This Week: Northwestern
12. Purdue Boilermakers (3-2, 1-1)
30 Pts.
Can Darrell Hazell get three more wins to get his team bowl eligible? There is an outside shot but don’t hold your breath.
Last Week: Defeated Illinois 34-31
This Week: Iowa
13. Illinois Fighting Illini (3-2, 0-2)
20 Pts.
Folks in Champaign should be happy they aren’t the Scarlet Knights currently.
Last Week: Defeated by Purdue 31-34
This Week: @Rutgers
14. Rutgers Scarlet Knights (2-4, 0-3)
10 Pts.
Um, so when you average 100 yards total offense two weeks in a row that is a serious problem. Have faith it will get better when the right players show up.
Last Week: Defeated by Michigan 0-78
This Week: Illinois
