The BP Weather Channel (split from Pryor thread)

That the rest of us are incompetent?

I have neither the time nor the inclination to split this stuff off...let's get back on the topic of Terrelle for now.

Stanford, Cal, San Jose St.

I've lived in Southern CA and Northern CA and it's no comparison. It is often hot and smoggy in So Cal. Northern CA is usually about 10 degrees cooler and no smog compared to down south.
The San Francisco bay area (which encompasses Stanford, Cal, and San Jose) is not Northern California. It's almost exactly in the middle of the state, from north to south. And as far as the smog of southern California, that is a phenomenon exclusive to LA, and it has diminished greatly there in recent years. The rest of southern Cal has no smog whatsoever, and if you live within spitting distance of the Pacific, as most people do, the temperature rarely rises above pleasantly warm. Basically, if you live anywhere near the ocean in southern California, the temperature "extremes" are slightly too warm and slightly too cool. If you live in central or northern California, the temperature varies between too warm and "where the hell did I store that winter jacket that I used to wear in Ohio?"
