Sorry, but the Tribe's about done. Five straight losses, scoring a total of 11 runs in those games, losing to bums like Terry Mulholland, Scott Erickson, Kyle Lohse, and some clown from the Rangers with a 24.00+ ERA. They're now five back of the Twins, and really need something close to a miracle to catch them this late in the season. Oh well, '05 was supposed to be their year anyway....

Losing streaks have been their problem all year. They are young and their play shows it.
I wouldn't say they are done by the third week in August. It's unlikely they'll win the division but you just can't tell with this team. They are streaky.
Just as soon as we may say they're done, they'll win 9 of 11.
I'm hoping they can stay within reach and the last series of the yeear vs. the Twins will decide the Central division Championship.
There's only one division that is clearly decided but it sure would be a lot more fun if all the second place teams were about 3 games out.

Well, for the second time this week, the Tribe lost to 41-year old cast-off Terry Mulholland, who has seemed more like Hall-of-Famer Steve Carlton when facing the Indians. The offense is asleep, having scored 12 runs in 6 games. :(

I don't understand it.
They've went from the best offensive machine in the AL to the worst.
Even during the other periods in which they've struggled, they managed to score some runs. Their sudden lack of production is mind boggling.

The Indians have a very bright future ahead of them. I'd take Hafner, Martinez, and Sizemore for my team any day of the week. They got an absolute steal from the Expos in the Bartolo Colon deal two years ago.

That being said, the future ain't now, and they couldn't stop Mr. Sheffield, the Great Mariano, the Evil Empire, and my Yankees tonight.

It was a great game if any of you watched it.

No one ever suggested such a thing. There was a lot of excitement since they were within 1 game of the Twins.
How would you expect fans to react?
If you want to flame some Tribe fans, you can do better than that fool.
(I think you wear your moniker well)

They shot their wad for the week tonight with 22 runs at Yankee Stadium.
