Will Smith and Cam Heyward

Tim Anderson and Darrion Scott

AJ Hawk, James Laurinaitus, and Cie Grant.

Special shout out to the Kaiser but he gets left out on this team.

Same as mine, right down to the shout out-snub for the Kaiser (loved his nastiness in 2002 but Lil Animal had the sustained excellence) except that I had Carpenter in lieu of Grant.

Let me start by saying FML! I somehow missed Will Smith when I voted. I looked but I am still at work and I am trying to look busy. My choices follow.

DE - Gholston & Heyward

DT - Abdallah & Pitcock (Abdallah isn't a popular choice but I loved watching him play for some reason.)

OLB - Carpenter & Hawk (Have their autograph with Schlegel)

MLB - Laurinaitis

As much as I wanted to put Simon, I just don't think of him as a Tressel guy with his JR and SR year coming after Tressel

same reason i was able to leave Simon off.

i think Cie needs more votes here. his flexibility is worth more than the potential Carpenter had. Cie would start over Carpenter in my opinion, but I first met him when he was 6 or 7 in little league so I could be biased somewhat.

also wanted to vote for KP but couldn't over Scott / Anderson.

Damn golden era of Buckeye football makin it hard and [Mark May] to vote.

Took me much longer to vote here than i ever have for any politician. more enjoyable and no regrets here either.

If Heyward were at DT, I'd sub in Gholston at DE and take out Scott. Imagining all of those guys in their prime at OSU on the field at the same time playing together... good gracious.

Yeah I would hope we'd be awesome - we'd have 40 guys on the field!!!!! :tongue2:

Well to make it easier maybe we should count when they were recruited, not who was coach during their last couple of years.

Will Smith, Tim Anderson, Darion Scott and Wilhelm, just to name a few, were Cooper guys.

Of the pure recruited and played for Tressel guys I would go with Heyward, Gohlston, Pitcock and Simon.

Normally I would place a guy who played evenly for two coaching staffs in the one that he ended his career with but since Simon (and Nathan Williams) played for three staffs I left them with Tressel as that is the only regime they played more than a single year for.

That's tough for me.

DE: I ended up going Simon & Heyward. Was thinking about Gholston - its extremely hard to leave out the single season sack leader. Career ended up playing a factor for me. Took Big Cam over Vern. Equally as hard leaving out Will Smith - but I'm giving the slight edge to Johnny Simon on that one.

DT: Anderson & Pitcock. Anderson just had a freakin' motor. Pitcock was obviously very productive providing great interior push and steady against the run.

OLB: Hawk & Carpenter. Not overly difficult.

MLB: Animal & Wilhelm Again, not too difficult.

You playing a 4-4 defense?
