The 2020 College Football Season

Well my background noise is now silence with no football after having been football less for 9 months. So congratulations ESPN for doing the unthinkable. Making something unwatchable that's my sport of preference when theres nothing else on.

This is why the NBA is down 23%.

I'm watching a movie now....mostly because that's what the kids wanted to do.

That would NEVER happen on a normal September Saturday. :ohwell:

You seem like you're rooting for Covid outbreaks. Who do you think you are, Kevin Warren?
There's a difference between reporting the facts and hoping for more of the same. It does nobody any good to ignore the bad news.

I have to say that I cringed a bit watching the EKU-Marshall game. Seemed like mask protocols weren't being observed very closely. And testing players every 3 days seems inadequate. Finally, distancing in the stands didn't look like it was working very well.

Yeah, and sometimes people become so invested in being "right" that bad news is good news.

Teams can be managed in ways to lessen the spread, as evidenced by multiple sports. Often when there have been outbreaks it's because some dumb asses broke protocols.

Fans are a whole other problem. They are going to be fans if you let them attend the game. If they're tailgating beforehand they will be even less likely to observe protocols, and how do you police thousands of people in a crowd anyway? Who enforces it? What happens when the fan refuses to comply?

I think it's too soon to be doing anything more than playing in empty stadiums, but that's just my opinion. No one really knows.

Whatever the hell with this guy.

There was only, is only and will ever be, only one Sir Yacht as far as I am concerned. Might as well call him The Sir Yacht.

There's the proof that Sir Yacht is full of shit.

It is usually very difficult to prove a negative, and the complete absence of veracity in boat boy is an example of that. I agree with script that this tweet is the most compelling single-tweet evidence of his complete lack of veracity, but in my experience such things usually have to be decided by the preponderance of the evidence rather than “proof”.

The best example of “preponderance of the evidence” that I’ve ever seen can be found by just spending a few minutes scrolling through boat boy’s twitter TL. Some day that blind nut might actually find a squirrel (sic), but that day is not likely to happens soon
