If they're going to get their cut they could vote for a season and still opt themselves out of playing.

Then the Presidents/Chancellors that don’t want their Universities to play aren’t stopping the teams that want a season.
If it’s less than 9 that want to play, structure the vote that way so the ones not playing don’t stop everybody.

Why can’t 9 vote yes to 6 or 7 playing? Wouldn’t it just be the way the resolution was worded?I don't know if their By Laws allow for such flexibility. Everything I've read says 60% of members which would require 9 of 14.

What happens to BTN if there are no games? I can only watch My Michigan Classics - the blocked punt with only seconds on the clock, 16 of the 21st Century versions of The Game so many times before i want to see the 17th.
I don’t see how BTN survives until November, much less spring, unless they start running porn or selling religion.
