Trolololol
Not sure if it's ok to create this thread, but I figured since we've had a little bit of time to cool, we salute all of our seniors leaving, they gave us one hell of a run, and it's a shame to see them go out like this..

so... THANK YOU SENIORS!!

On BP it's *always* okay to start a thread thanking outbound OSU seniors, and when it's guys like Lighty, Diebler, and Lauderdale (Days as well) -- then you get extra greenies for doing so.

Don't mind saying this will go down as my favorite team and season, yesterday's upset doesn't change that in the slightest for me.

Thanks for everything, guys. I know you wanted to go further, and I feel your pain, but you can hold your heads high. One off night cannot erase all that you have done in your tOSU careers.

Best of luck in the future. :)

David Lighty: Thanks for being the heart and soul of the Buckeyes. Your dedication to the program will be forever appreciated. Keep fighting for a spot in the NBA. Stay healthy!

Jon Diebler: It was a pleasure watching all of those 3's being drained like nothing. I knew that was coming eventually after your successful career in high school. Best of luck in NBA as a spot up shooter and try to be even better than Ray Allen. The Cavs could use a guy like you!

Dallas Lauderdale: Here's a very unselfish young man who was willing to do anything it takes to help the team without disrupting chemistry of the team. Matta did always appreciated you and you knew it.

Eddie Days: You surely had a lot of fun! Thanks for supporting the team as a solid practice player.

Yea, not only OK to post this, but very much needed and appreciated. These kids indeed gave us a great run. Not gonna analyze the game here, certainly not the place to do so. So:

THANK YOU SENIORS!!!

Peace

this is the most painful loss of a senior class that i recall. basketball or football... doesn't matter. it doesn't get better than lighty, diebler, and lauderdale. i can't imagine a better trio of buckeye ambassadors.

and what can you say about eddie days? this it the best story of them all. he passed up scholarships offers in order to walk on as a buckeye. he then battled a severe heart condition that precluded any chance for two years. eddie didn't give up. he leaves a true champion.

Couldn't agree more. Back in the day, I had WEC (West End Court) 4th row season tickets at St. John for the Jimmy Jackson show and never thought I'd see an OSU team I'd enjoy as much as that one. This team did it for me. I wanted to see them be the ones to finally cut down the nets. What a fantastic group of seniors.
