Text messaging in Recruiting--Banned

A member of the coaching staff should be allowed one text message per day...that is, not each member but one member. For example, if Fickell texted Pryor today, no one else on the staff (including Tressel) could text him until tomorrow. The only exception to the "one text per day" rule would be to return a text from that prospect.

The immediate reaction amongst coaches, however, was that they had to go back to the dark ages of e-mails, handwritten letters and even, gasp, phone calls. Assistants and younger head coaches are still adamant that text messaging is the way to go to communicate with today's youth.
