They just showed him on the sideline, in street clothes. He was wondering around, eyes looked crossed, and was waving his hand up and down.

Didn't look like he had any idea where he was at.

That doesn't make any sense. I've never heard it called before. Can someone explain what "simluating the offensive cadence" means?
