I know most people are are routing for Texas, and an end to the SEC dominance, but IMO I never believed they were the second best team in America. I have no beef with either team, but I always believed Bama was the clear cut #1, and no matter who they played, the game was won before it started. Even with Colt, this Bama D would have settled in and stopped a lot of playes. It's unfortunate now because we will never know.

That's a real easy statement to make right now isn't it...

Alabama is picking up huge yardage on the exchange of punts. Like Herbie's saying, they don't have to do much else to eventually score again... and again... and again.

As good as McCoy is, I'm not sure of his (and his teams') ability to overcome a 2 TD deficit, even when healthy against this Bama D. Now that he's injured? This could seal the deal.

I really feel bad for Texas fans.

I do too. Honestly. They got completely screwed last season by the Big 12 and had a better all around team then. Now you face 'Bama without the winningest QB in CFB history, and have to replace him with a frosh, against the #1 team and a top 5 D. I thought McCoy was the reason Texas had a chance.

Held them to a FG attempt, as long as Saban doesn't fake it. Other than the big run, Texas' defense has come up huge so far.

I know they gave up the big run to Richardson, but Texas' defense is doing all they can - and better than I thought they could so far.

Right now they're in a situation kinda like Ohio State was mid-season. The Texas offense can't stay on the field long enough to give them a breather.

That was a good job to hold them to a FG, considering Alabama started at the 29.
