TenneCheat VolunTears (official thread)

His last three years were 7-6, 3-9, and 7-5. Coaches with better records have been fired. Honestly, with the "climate" as it is in college football today, I am kind of surprised he wasn't fired this year. I'd say he's on the "hot seat" next year.
lol. Thanks for the info... I guess "just fine" is a relative term. People just look better when they're not in those awful colors, I guess.

Oh, I dunno, those 2 New Mexico Bowl wins are quite a feather in his... well, wherever he'd put a feather.

So, if UT offers $8.4m, I wonder how long they will give Gundy to mullet over. :slappy:

Re: Among the ways Tennessee is looking to land Gundy is with a hefty contract, at $8.4 million per year, and a conversation with Tennessee legend Peyton Manning.

Tennessee: We'll give you $8.4M a year.

Gundy: Well, I don't know.

Tennessee: OK, we'll give you $8.4M a year and we'll let you talk (just once) to Peyton Maning. He is a "Tennessee legend" you know.

Gundy: WOW, I'll take it, where do I sign?

Just sayin': I'm sure that getting to talk to Manning will definitely "seal the deal".

Mike ought to read the sad tale of Rich Rod to scUM ... a nice story where a guy started treating his alma mater like a bitch, ended up in a poor cultural fit singing "you raise me up" whilst weeping that he wanted to be a Michigan Man to no avail. Of course, he did get paid and he's doing just fine now, after the fact.
This post holds no rope.

Maybe Peyton is going to stick his nut sack in Gundy's face? Doesn't sound like a good plan to me, but what do I know?
