One of my mom's lazy meals when I was a kid was something she called Chili Soup. I was more or less unseasoned ground beef, canned tomatoes and elbow macaroni, perhaps some chopped celery. I used to dread chili soup night. I was never a picky eater but that shit made me gag. I think of it whenever I see the "tomato gumbo" posts. The quinoa may as well take the place of the elbow macaroni.
