If you can use parts of songs, start the mix off with the opening trumpet solo from "Your Latest Trick" by Dire Straits. The rest of the song won't work too well, but I gave a buddy of mine the trumpet solo to start a mix tape for a first date in 1991 and he's still married to the chick so it has a track record of success.
