Kansas State firing Ron Prince is a travesty. What reason do those yokels have for thinking their "tradition" entitles them to higher expectations? Ron Prince was as good as they're likely to find.

K-State fans, for whatever reason, are some of the most delusional fans in college football. For some reason they seem to think that their "decade of success" in the Big 12 north qualifies them as a football powerhouse (That decade peaked with them getting schlacked in the Fiesta Bowl by Krenzel and co.). They are located in the middle of nowhere in a terrible part of the country for recruiting and even at their best they will probably never be more than the 4th or 5th best team in the Big 12. Dan Snyder took them from the laughing stock of college football to achieving moderate success, and now they think their a football powerhouse. They have two conference titles in school history. TWO! Absolutely ridiculous.

Actually, they have only one Rose Bowl appearance in the last 15 years (1996 Rose Bowl, after winning the 1995 Big Ten title outright). They went to the 1997 Florida Citrus Bowl after winning the 1996 Big Ten title (shared), and went to the 2000 Alamo Bowl after winning the 2000 Big Ten title (shared).

And, oh so sad to say, during the 90s they had a better record against TSUN than did OSU.
