Teddy's Scrimmage Hijack

Is it usually not part of a scrimmage?
All the time....no.

I know our two scrimmages last year, atleast from what I remember there was no kicking or punting. We didn't even bring our kicker to the one at Dublin Coffman. The second one was at our school.

This year, we have already had one scrimmage, and we did bring a punter, and he punted. There was kicking in that scrimmage also, but we don't have a kicker...yet(That is going to be a problem I can see).

Seeing how we are running the scrimmage(At our school), and we don't even have a kicker, I don't see us including kicking in the schedule. But it all depends I guess on what the coaches want to do.

However, I think it would be wise for the coaches to find a kicker, real soon.

There usually are very little special teams in pre-season scrimmages. I think PAT is the only special teams we have done in the past.

Correct

There is also many ways a scrimmage can be done.

Down and distance, meaning you have 4 downs to get 10 yards, and if you don't or if you turn the ball over, your possession is done and the other team gets the ball. Usually both teams get 2-3 possessions on offense each.

10 plays, one gets to run 10 plays. Then after those 10 plays are played, the other team goes on offense. Most of the time, depending on how many teams are actually at the scrimmage, and how much time there is, both teams get 3-4 possessions.
