Luke says his whole family is made up of Buckeye fans and tOSU could be considered his favorite right now. He is not going to commit immediately but plans to decide by the end of the summer. He is heading to ND this weekend.

BUCKEYES RECRUITING OHIO JUNIORS

Luke Farrell. Perry. The number-12 tight end in the country, and a player that fits the Ohio State mold of Nick Vannett and Jeff Heuerman perfectly. OUTLOOK: Unless he gets scared off by the other two studs in-state, Farrell will be a Buckeye.

The Class of 2016 is a big one in Ohio for tight ends, and with the Buckeyes grabbing a commitment from three-star Kierre Hawkins over the weekend, that still leaves four-stars Luke Farrell and Jake Hausmann on the market. Both also have an Ohio State offer and with the Buckeyes likely not taking three tight ends, who will jump on their offer first? Farrell has been open about his strong feelings towards Ohio State, while both of Hausmann's parents are Ohio State graduates. It should be an interesting situation. Hawkins is athletic enough to play outside or from the H-back position, but it's still unlikely that Farrell and Hausmann will both be in the plans for the Buckeyes. But here's an interesting idea, take all three. If anyone can make that work it's Urban Meyer, who could find ways to run the spread with speed and mix it up with a jumbo set a la the New England Patriots of a few years ago where the tight end became the biggest weapon on the team.

Urban Meyer was at Perry High School today to visit 2016 ATH Luke Farrell (@LukeFarrell88) - checked out basketball practice.

Glad to see this visit happen immediately following Hausmann's commitment. Really want to see another '16 TE commit in addition to Hausmann and Hawkins (I realize Hawkins' ultimate position is a bit of an unknown). Vannett is really good. Baugh certainly has potential, but he is mostly unproven. In short, this position group still needs further fortification. Come on down, Luke.
