TCU Horned Frogs (official thread)

Delusional Toad fans.

I love when Fitz shows up on these lists. That dude has been mentioned for every opening since about 2009 and has never given even the smallest indication he's willing to leave his alma mater...and good for him. Much respect. It's a pretty sweet gig for him -- decent pay, his alma mater in his home city, very little pressure (if any at all). Hell, Just win 8 or 9 games every once in a while and you're golden. He's gonna have a statue there for winning 57% of his games.

a) I don't see Fickell giving up on one school with no shot at the CFPs to go to another school with no realistic route to the CFPs, and no, the winner of the Big 8/10/12/10/8/6 is not going to get into the CFPs after Texas and Okie leave.
b) Fickell is more Catholic than Notre Dame. I don't see him taking a job at TCU.

With UC entering TCU’s conference, it would be essentially a lateral move. Seems unlikely.

What the hell are TCU fans smoking? Patterson waited 20 years for a head coaching gig, which is the only reason someone takes the TCU job these days.

Unless Sammy Baugh and Bob Lilly are in next year's recruiting class they can get ready to hire another guy who is just happy to have the job.
