Duke's defense would look good against their opponents.
Seriously - have you looked at their SCHEDULE?
My drive to WORK is tougher than their schedule...
let's see...I'll grab a few here and there...
a (less-than, to me) mediocre 4-4 Oregon State team, only by 30-21
Ooh! A tough one - 4-6 Tennessee Tech, 62-7. Yep. Tough team...
7-3 Baylor - I think they're just the best-of-the-worst B12..
Oh, another challenge, 5-5 SMU
Then perennial superpower Colorado State 27-0
Then 2-8 Wyoming, and 4-5 BYU
6-4 AFA, 1-8 UNLV
That's enough - that shit is ridiculous.
Last 2 games are San Diego State, and 1-8 New Mexico.
You fugging KIDDING ME? scUM's defense would like like the steel curtain against that list of chumps.
Shit is all relative...
They're pretty good, but not THAT good.
Judged relative to their schedule, they look like a freaking superpower.
ANY team would.
Put 'em up against a Nebraska, OSU, Auburn, and they haven't a chance.
Oregon? Maybe - D is suspect there... Their marquee win is Stanford. I'm still not sold on the Ducks, either.
But an in-your-face team like some perennial B10/B12/SEC teams?
Um, no.
Utah was a joke - THEIR schedule is even softer than TCU's.
That was Humpty Dumpty waiting to get his ass knocked off the wall.
Oregon- decent team, suspect defense
Auburn- gave up 24 to a D2 school. Give me a break, they are a one trick pony who will be destroyed by Bama
Nebraska- who barely beat ISU? I hate the trasative property, but it works wonders for this example... Utah beat ISU by 40, Nebraska beat ISU by 1, do the math. TCU > Baylor > Texas > Nebraska
There is no reason to say that TCU is not deserving. Does not mean that I am wrong or right, it just means that you would be an absolute moron to assume they would not belong
