Sometimes I have my moments where I have a brainstorm and come up with a great idea for an article and then there’s those moments where it was just blind stinking luck! I typed Friday Night’s Lights in a tweet to a buddy of mine and misspelled it and eureka!!! As the season goes I will begin to incorporate more fans’ trash-talking tweets, but for now here’s what TBBC staff has to offer! Pay special attention to Joe, he had a lot to get off of his chest!

Friday Night Slights – Staff
WVa – I am enjoying the ride we are seeing come from TTUN, it definitely makes for an enjoyable meltdown when it comes, and it will come! I am in the realm of wanting that to happen on November 28th while they are undefeated!
JC – I too enjoy the delusional ride TTUN is currently experiencing. Harbaugh’s false prophecy will surface 10/10 vs. N’Western, 10/17 vs. *ichSt, 10/31 vs. MN, 11/21 vs. Penn St, & of course @ Home 11/28 in The Game. Harbaugh’s maiden voyage will be tattered in Black & Blue. The 49ers certainly knew what was up with Jimbo when they said “bye-bye”. TTUN’s major investment will soon find out too. What a shame!
MDotySr – I cannot get off the Oregon and Alabama overrated train!! I Can’t say that I hate Mark Helfrich but I can certainly say I hate “Satan” and could not be more happy for him. Now the NFL rumors will kick in again with a side order of crying and excuses. Colts will be the logical choice (people want to believe Harbaugh but he will be second in line) as Irsay tried to hire him before Pagano. It is also a point to note that he said he would never return to the NFL without a franchise quarterback…..hmmmm!
Joe – Does it get any more slimy than SMU and Larry Brown? I get it — it’s been a rough week for the Dallas based university. First, former OSU assistant Everett Withers and James Madison upset the football team.
Earlier this week, the school found out that the basketball program has been banned from the 2016 post season and lost nine scholarships.
This isn’t the first time that Larry Brown has been in violation as a collegiate coach. In fact, investigations have followed him to nearly every stop in the college game.
What has me slighted though is that Southern Methodist University has zero plans in letting Larry Brown go.
It’s obvious that the former Pistons and 76ers coach is over his head when it comes to understanding NCAA compliance. Keeping him sends the wrong message to players that running a college basketball program is more like a professional organization and what’s important is landing recruits — no matter what the measure to land them is.
It’s time to step up to the plate and finally put an end to Larry Brown’s run of ruining college basketball programs over the last 30 years.
Ken – I’m assuming that you don’t want to hear about in-laws… My Slight this week is our favorite, Bret (Bert) Bielema. After pontificating about the (at the time) lack of ranked teams on Ohio State’s schedule, Bert has lost three consecutive games. Karma, baby.
Scott – Illinois resembles a college football team once again. Maybe the Illini should have fired Tim Beckman before they hired him.
