Forcier to visit Hawaii

Former Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier said he will be taking an official recruiting visit to Hawaii next week. He said he spoke with UH head coach Greg McMackin for an hour today, and the trip will be arranged after he sends his transcripts.

Forcier said he has family in Hawaii, and that he is impressed with the Warriors' history of giving second chances to players.

He also has an interest in San Jose State and Nevada. "Hawaii will be my first visit," he said. "Maybe it will be my last."

He said he wants to make a decision this month.

Forcier will have to sit out the 2011 season in accordance with NCAA transfer rules. After that, he will have two years to play two seasons
