Sad thing is that goes 100% against the philosophy the team has had all year. Joe Simpson was marveling before the game how we don't have a 15 game winner, don't have a 100 RBI guy, yet we do all the little things. Guys don't need to be heroes, just keep the train moving. Swisher, the one guy who ought to know better of anyone besides Giambi, totally went apefuck on those 3 swings and skoinked any momentum we could have built by getting a run or two. They have sunk themselves tonight.

Musta been watching Brandon Philips when he tries for that 5 run HR swing.
Not only does BP swing for the river, pretty sure he is swinging to hit that ball to Mexico
He always looks to me like the 5-run homer is his 2 strike swing. It's more like a 7 run homer on 1-0.

OK I've been tough on Chis sometimes but fuckall if he isn't the MVP of this game for us. Hits, liner caught to save a run. He just needs to do this in Thursday games against Oakland during the regular season and he can be every bit as productive as Kipnis is.
