Catahoula's are freaking awesome.

this is my first one.
he seems to have taken the best traits from both breeds rolled into one dog.

big for a catahoula, but about average for a lab.
VERY protective of my sons.
loves to piss off my wife's cats. which is probably why him and i get along so well.

when he was about a year old, he got out of my yard and was strutting around trying to impress the female lab next door and got hit by a truck.

slight separation of his hip. bed rest for two weeks and was back in full action.
since then, he doesn't even try to run very far from me.

back yard is fenced in, so he acts the ass back there. but once we get out, he stays close and always comes back when i call him.
