Wanted to post here as BP has been my root since I became a mental health therapist.... (my join date was the same as when I saw my 1st. client/patient..) Unique in that my background was in law enforcement. Today I completed the requirements necessary to return to the same and will be an SA/Cop for a state police agency. Much thought and even "denial" went into this process before I accepted my desires... I'll still be able to use my skills (focus in areas of victim assistance and mental health first responder/recognition) but I think that I have arrived where I always desired to start!
but will also maintain a healthy criminal caseload (so I am told!) Either way, I will use my points wisely and choose a new board name unless I stick with this one! For alot of reasons, I'm real happy now: just a share!!
GO BUCKS!! Beat L'ill Meat!!!!!:oh: :io:

Congrats. It's a great thing to do something you love to do for the rest of your life. I hate my job, and suffer everyday. I watched an auther recently speak about the "New Retirementality" at our national conference in Milwaukee. He spoke about how your whole life should be retirement by doing something you love to do, sometimes ignoring the financial aspect/ worries you may have. The true happiness is finding yourself looking forward to walking in through the door, not looking forward to walking out of the door.

Exactly why I have returned to college to finish my degree, minor in education and be a teacher/coach. At the age of 35, I am easily the oldest in some of my classes. There are a few people (one drop dead gorgeous mom) that are my age(ish). But they are few.

I like to work in computers. I enjoy my gig. I'd enjoy it more if were working days, but that's neither here nor there.

I enjoy working with kids. I like teaching. I like coaching. Its now a passion. And I'm doing what I can to get there.
