i have 2 big chunks of sod from the field.
im not a expert on grass
what should i do to take good care of it.
im sellin some of it soon.
Plant it on top of good quality soil with drainage, then water it sparingly.
Give it light and warmth.

You know, all the stuff you'd do to keep a plant healthy.

that sounds like something a 6-year-old would do with a frog. i have a bit of sod from the spot of the endzone where robo caught the victory-sealing pass, and i'm definitely not spray painting it.

That was said tongue in cheek.

Dude, what the hell are you going to do with it? Be buried with it?

Why don't you just go out to the turf farm in Groveport and cut out a big swath?

You're not going to be able to keep it green.

It'll turn brown and you'll probably pitch it.

What's the big deal with ripping up sod from the field? It's going to die soon, and all you'll have is brown grass and loose dirt.

(I guess) then you could smoke it:

My buddy put some of the turf from the '98 win over scUM in a little planter and gave it water, "mowed" it with a pair of scissors... that stuff lived and grew for a couple years at least.

You can do that easily, just get it outside in the sun when the weather warms up and feed it a little water soluble fertilizer in the spring, some water, clip it occasionally and it'll be fine. Just keep little football players from ruining it...
