The HS my kids went to had a day where parents could attend. My wife went every year, and I went a couple of times. I was always the only parent in the room, and I believe my wife was also.

So, you were the only parents that 'took advantage' of Bring Your Parent To School Day? I think it's great that you were participating for your kids and all, but I can only imagine how much your kids dreaded that day every year.

We were aware of that, but thought that our indicating concern for their educational process outweighed the negative. They never asked us to not attend, and never complained about it afterwards.

One year I went to our son's classes, and she went to our daughter's. Other times, we each went on different half-days; we never both went to the class.
