If anyone is interested in joining our tailgate in Austin please let me know. As we get closer to gametime I will post some more details surrounding location, activities and such. We will have plenty of beer, drinks and Texas BBQ to go around. We also have TV's to watch the day games and usually a contest or 2 for prizes. There will be lots of fun to be had. I imagine gameday will be there this year as well so we will be able to give you directions to where they setup if you wanted to check out that scene for a while.

Also, if you need any Austin info...hotels, good and bad parts of town, golf courses, etc...just let me know and I will be more than happy to help you out.

About 25-30 minutes, ~20 miles, depending on where you get in. It's a nice drive, too.

For those who haven't been there in a while, there are probably a dozen houses up on the hills surrounding the cove, with several more being built. I bet they complain about the noise, too.:smash:

I have yet to hear of any complaints....really if you are building a house on Devils cove you probably have some sort of wild streak in you anyways.

EH is correct, it is a very nice drive. If you would like to hit it up the easiest way is to go to Emerald Point(Carlos and Charlies) and rent a boat/jet ski and head straight across the lake...its a fun time

If you are so inclined here is a good place to rent from http://www.jff.net/

Lake Austin ain't bad. Lake Travis is bigger and more scenic depending on your tastes. Also, "Lake" Austin is kind of a misnomer. It's just wide river for a several miles. You'll get to see this area though if you go far enough upriver:

Last time I was there I don't remember any houses. Of course that was probably because of the combination of booze and sunlight. Fucking Carlos & Charlies and Johnny Fins!!!!

I used to live near the intersection of 620 & 2222 (Four Points). That area went from being rural to being commercialized awful fast.
