Tailgates or Bars?

Me and a good friend of mine are driving up from Oklahoma for the game. I am a die-hard Buckeye and am curious. Since i don't know anyone except for family in Columbus, what bar(s) should we check-out for some pre-game drinks? I've been out at night on High Street before but didn't know if a couple of bars do something special on game-day. Thanks.

Varsity Club and Hineygate are musts.

I am always at the Blackwell early and then the roof of the Tuttle parking garage for a tailgate. Great atmosphere up there. And the scenery is pretty nice too.

Hineygate is great, except for the lines of course...I've never been to the Thirsty Scholar on gameday before...I would imagine that place is hopping as well
