i think the question was.....who was made to look good in the NFL because of the NFL team they were playing for....ie any RB for Denver.

I'm not sure if Timmy counts as one of those who, because of the system, looked great. If you look at how many passes he's thrown, he simply DOESNT look great.MililaniBuckeye said:Let's not rag on Chang...yet. Timmy throws the prettiest ball you have ever seen, but he's wildly inconsistent.
Frankly, I think you are right on the money about overrated - though possibly for different reasons than his on-field play. Personally, I was never, ever that impressed with Ty Detmer -- despite the gaudy stats, Heisman runner up and all that (the Rocket pipped him thank the lord).Bucky Katt said:How about Ty Detmer? I don't remember seeing him play much, but it seems like most of the BYU QB's in that era were lighting people up.
(I might just be thinking he's overrated b/c of his lack of success in the NFL.)

Hey - you might be being a bit tough on Kijana. Breaks leg, complex fracture, never the same since. No-one knows how good he might have been. The others (excepting Perry) - stiffs, all.CleveBucks said:Larry Johnson
Chris Perry (esp. when LLLoyd would run him 50+ times a game)

I'm surprised no one mentioned Chad Owens. now HE is glorified by the system because of how many passes are thrown (and since he is the main receiver, how many are thrown toward him)...
