Preventing that severely outpaces the benefit for a very flawed Buckeye team to sneak into the playoffs. I'm still not sure they cured their woes, they just played a terrible rushing defense and executed their game plan better. I've been saying for ages that their lbs are terrible and after Glasgow and Mario went down, their dl was very suspect.


Maybe if osu hadn't won the best title in recent memory with the greatest coaching performance ever, I might feel differently. But that greatness still lingers enough to handle finishing second to Sparty. Part of me would like to see another team win it all for the sake of the league, and that would be unfathomable and unbearable for most Michigan fans.

Now, THAT is the proper way to look at things.

Give scUM no credit for even indirectly inflicting pain on OSU, then find a plausible scenario in which their suffering is amplified and extended.

Imagine them sitting there all winter after watching OSU win the last NC, then losing to both rivals this season only to see MSU win the NC this year.

There's two reasons that I'm rooting for MSU. This is one, the other being the absolute riot that would be taking place south of the M-D line. Buuuuuuttttt PAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWLLLLLLL...

I'm convinced that there will be more Appy States to block field goals, more Kordell Stewarts to throw Hail Marys, more running backs to fumble without getting hit against Northwestern, and more punt attempts that get returned for touchdowns. But there won't be as many of all of those as there will be Big Ten Championships for Ohio State.

It's definitely a good point about plays like the muffed punt snap and how chances like that don't come around too often. However, that's allowing Sparty some of the glory. Screw that!

Picture, TTUN beats Sparty and the season unfolds as it did. TTUN now has went 10-0 after the opening loss to Utah. They just witnessed OSU lose to Sparty and will talk even more smack than usual because we lost to a team that they beat. Now at 10-1, TTUN controls their own destiny. They beat us, beat Iowa, and they're in the playoffs! Oh just imagine at how cocky those cousin fucking frat boy fans feel now. They're walking on Cloud 9 and are SOOO confident in a win against OSU. Hairball will be the savior and this is the return of TTUN football!!!

Then, we get to utterly dash all of their hopes, dreams, and visions. We don't just beat them, we dominate them 42-13! No more CCG. No more playoffs. It's back to the same old "we're OSU's bitch." Those crying fans won't be from the Sparty game. Nope. Those salty tears will be because Zeke, JT, Bosa, and Co. were meanies and stuck it right to them!

It's great how they lost to Sparty. It really is. But to me, being alright with Sparty getting in on some of the fun is like writing a beautiful paper/presentation and then having to give credit to someone for doing something nominal that you could've done and gotten all the credit.
